Tremere Belmont Reds: The primary herd of Tremere, established in 1974 from the original releases of Belmont Red females to the industry has concentrated on performance recording since formation. The Belmont Red, derived from Africander, Hereford and Shorthorn composite started in 1954 to fill a need for higher fertility, placid temperament and good weight gain in the tropics.

Tremere bulls and semen have been sold overseas and to all states of Australia. Tremere supplied 130 bulls to the highly successful NAP Co composite breeding program in the N.T. and West Queensland and more recently 61 bulls to AA Co for their new breeding program in NW Queensland. 1200 breeders are mated on Tremere properties and complete records are maintained on every animal.

Accuracy and integrity are keys to the Tremere operation.

Bulls are often supplied on description to repeat buyers.

Semen on hand for national and international sale from selected performance bulls. Bulls always available. Females available on request.

Tremere Tuli established in 1991. Tremere became a member of the consortium which introduced the Tuli and Boran cattle into Australia to give a wider sellection of African Sanga Genes.

Two herds are now maintained (1) A purebred nucleus and grade-up Tuli and (2) a composite 3/4 BR 1/4 Tuli herd to capture the attributes of both breeds. The Tuli with very low dystocia, early maturity and meat quality has a contribution to make to the industry.

Bwana Borans established in 1995 by Swin and Kath Hudson from Tremere females bred to evaluate the Boran after importation. The temperament and fertility of the herd is impressive and purebred females were added when they became available. Presently run separately from the Tremere cattle but situated on one of the properties (Wilga) the Bwana Boran Stud completes the presentation of a full range of African genetics from one location.
